Previously Surgeon-Superintendent of Coronation Hospital and Medical Officer of Health, Boksburg. Member of Johannesburg City Council, 1944-46 and chairman of its Public Health and Social Welfare Committee. Keen Zionist and member of the Medical Committee of the I.U.A. Served with S. African Forces during World War II in East African and Abyssinian Campaigns; Major S.A.M.C. Recreation: Farming. Married Rachel Glazer 1948; one son two daughters.
