KLITZNER, Martha. Businesswoman. Born Salt River, Cape Town, 15th October, 1905, daughter of Simon Nathan and Cecilia Harris. Educated at St. Agnes' Convent, Wood- stock, and Royal Commercial College Cape Town. Has run own business for 38 years. Was Chairlady of Paarl WIZO, 1946-1949; Committee member, 1962-67. Member of Paarl Hebrew Congregation, and Union of Jewish Women. Was member of Young Girls' Jewish Association, Cape Town, under auspices of Rev. Bender. During World War II was member of S.A.W.A.S. and First Aid; convened committee garments and knitwear for troops. Member of Women's Agricultural Association, Paarl Music Club and Paarl Bowling Club.
