KOSVINER, Akiba Harry. Wholesale Merchant. Born Rosh Pinah, Palestine 28th March, 1906, son of Ruben and Gute Kosviner. Came to South Africa 1913. Educated at Albert Academy, Burgersdorp. Joint Director, Marock & Co. (Pty.) Ltd., Kroonstad. Held various executive positions on Ficksburg Hebrew Congregation from 1934 till departure for Kroonstad 1961. Committee member, Kroonstad Hebrew Congregation 1963; member, Hebrew Order of David Board of Management. Former committee member, Ficksburg Chamber of Commerce. During World War II, served in N.R.V. 1940-45. Recreations: Tennis, golf (previously rugby). Married Sophie Behrman 1933; one son, one daughter. Add.: 10, Bornman Street, P.O. Box 268, Kroonstad.
