Was First Cantor in Pinsk and Grodno, Poland. Cantor-Minister to United Hebrew Congregation, Durban, 1934-43; Cantor-Minister to United Hebrew Institutions, Bloemfontein, 1944-1963. Past Chairman, Jewish Cultural Circle, Bloemfontein; Past Chairman, Menorah Chess Club, Bloemfontein (1953- 1958). Married Miriam Leah Levin, 21st August, 1933; two sons, one daughter. Add.: Synagogue House, 113 New Breda Street, Paarl.
