LAZARUS, Esther. Born South Africa, 16th December, 1934. Concert pianist, well-known to Cape Town audiences for appearances with Cape Town Orchestra. Studied with Harold Rubens, University of Cape Town, and with Louis Kentner in London. Daughter of Clr. Lazarus, South Africa's "Ostrich Feather King." Was the only Jewish girl among 200 Commonwealth Debutantes to be presented to Queen Elizabeth II at Court at Buckingham Palace in July, 1955. Married 1958, divorced 1966. Two sons, aged 7 and 4.
