Former Manager Deal's Hotel, East London and Marine Hotel, Sea Point, Cape. Former member of Jewish Ex-Service League, former Secretary, Kingwilliamstown Hebrew Congregation. President, B.C.E.S.L., President Kingwilliamstown Rotary Club: President, Albert Rugby Club; Past President, Kingwilliamstown Golf Club. During World War II served with the Kaffrarian Rifles; Staff Sergeant at demobilisation. Married 1944, wife's name Frida Judith; one son, two daughters.
