President, Kensington Hebrew Congregation, 1961-64; Executive member, Yeshiva College, 1960-64; Federation of Synagogues, 1963-64; National Vice-Chairman of the United Mizrachi Organisation, from 1963 to 1964. Previously Secretary of the Bertrams Hebrew Congregation and of the Kensington Hebrew Congregation. During World War II was a member of the Civic Guard and Executive member of Medical Aid for Russia. Past Treasurer of the Johannesburg Marriage Guidance Society. Member of the Cyrildene Bowling Club. Married Rachel Sandler, 1944; two sons, one daughter. Add.: 15, Finger Street, Cyrildene, P.O.
