HELLMAN, Raymond. Attorney. Born Brandfort, O.F.S., 18th November, 1914, son of Gershon Harris and Sarah Hellman. Educated at Brandfort and Grey College, Bloemfontein. Executive Secretary, Jewish National Fund Charitable Trust, S.A. Zionist Federation. Previously was partner in the firm of Podlashuc, Liebson & Klagsbrun, Pretoria, 1948-54; Schaiowitz, Levitt & Hellman, Johannesburg, 1954-59. Joined S.A. Zionist Federation, 1959. Chairman, Pretoria Zionist Council, 1955-58; Chairman, Pretoria Branch, Zionist Socialist Party, 1953-58: Hon. Treaurer, Sydenham-Highlands North Hebrew Congregation, 1963-64; vice-chairman, Sydenham-Highlands North Hebrew Congregation, 1964. Served with Union Defence Forces during Second World War.
