KAHAN, Gerald Hyman. Rabbi. Born Mir, Poland, 20th October, 1903, son of Moshe Leib and Esther Cohen. Educated in Yeshivot of Mir, Lomza and Petach Tikva and Russian High School. Came to South Africa July, 1932. Rabbi to Worcester Hebrew Congregation in Cape since 1950. Previously Minister to Hebrew Congregations in Rustenburg, Klerksdorp and Salisbury.
