During World War II served with the Jewish troops in the British Army; enlisted in Palestine as a private in 1940; commissioned 1941; Brigade Transport Officer at original headquarters of Jewish Infantry Brigade Group; Adjutant and Quartermaster- General of the Jewish Brigade Group, with rank of Major, until its dissolution in Belgium in 1946.
