Life Vice-President of the Johannesburg Jewish Helping Hand and Burial Society (Chevra Kadisha), in which he has played leading a role for many years, having been active on the committee since 1938, and having held office as Hon. Secretary from 1952-64. Past Hon. Secretary, Beth Hamedrash Hagodol. Former Committee member, Jewish Aged Home, Bikkur Cholim and Gemilus Chesed Knesseth Israel.
