Educated at Parktown High School for Boys and University of the Witwatersrand. Surgical Director Workers' Rehabilitation Hospital, Johannesburg. Vice-President, College of Physicians, Surgeons and Gynaecologists of S.A., and Chairman of its Examination and Credentials Committee. Served in British Army, 1940 to 1945; Lieutenant-Colonel, R.A.M.C. Member of Mahal, 1948-49. Former member of the Executive Council of the S.A. Zionist Federation. Past President Magen David Adom in S.A. Contributor to medical journals and author of various medical works. Married Gertrude Janower, 1936; three daughters.
