Mayor of Randfontein, 1952-53. Presently a City Councillor, Chairman of the Municipal Licensing Board, and member of the Management Committee of the Randfontein Municipality. Deputy Mayor, 1962-1963. Awarded the Queen Elizabeth Coronation Medal, 1952. Past President, Randfontein Chamber of Commerce 1949-1962. Past Master, Lodge Libertas, N.C.A. Constitution (G.L.S.A.). Member of the Paul Kruger Monument Committee. For the past ten years has been Chairman of the United Hebrew Institutions of Randfontein. Chairman of the Zionist Revisionist Party (Randfontein) 1952-61; past President, H.O.D., Phillip Silbert Lodge. Member of Randfontein Estate Golf Club.
