KATZEN, Abraham William. Attorney. Born Plunge, Lithuania, 25th September, 1889, son of Isaac and Sarah Katzen. Came to South Africa 1895. Educated at South African College, Cape Town. Attorney to Johannesburg Jewish Helping Hand and Burial Society and Witwatersrand Jewish Aged Home for past thirty years, Committee member of Aged Home and Johannesburg Jewish Helping Hand and Burial Society for forty years. Former Chairman, Transvaal Jewish Welfare Council. Member of Balfour Park Club. Married the late Phoebe Stusser, 28th July, 1916; one son, one daughter.
