GELLMAN, David. (Died 1966). Director of Companies. Born Kelme, Lithuania, 18th October, 1892, son of Phywie Ber and Deveira Gellman. Educated in Lithuania at various Yeshivot. Came to South Africa, January 1911. Was Director of various companies. Previously farmer, ostrich feather buyer and grower of vegetable seeds. Ex-Town Councillor; Justice of Peace; ex -President, Willowmore Hebrew Congregation. Zionist worker for many years; was presented with a Golden Book Certificate by the E.P. Zionist Council on the occasion of his Golden Wedding 1960. Married the late Ada Rebecca Reiff, September, 1910; two sons, four daughters.
