GERSHUNY, Michael. Company Director. Born Suvinishky, Lithuania, 1912, son of Benzion and Pearl Gershuny. Came to South Africa 1930. Educated at Ponevezh School and Yeshiva in Kaunas. Director of Rabinowitz & Gershuny_(Pty.) Ltd. Treasurer for a few years, now Life Trustee of the S.A. Hebrew Dividing Benefit Society; Member, Vredehoek Orthodox Synagogue and Reform Synagogue. Served with South African Forces during World War II, after the fall of Pearl Harbour. Married Rae Sher, 1936; one son, one daughter. Recreation: Reading.
