GEVISSER, Leslie. Company Director. Born Durban, 19th January, 1920, son of Morris and Jane Gevisser. Educated at the Durban High School and Hilton College. Director of Moshal, Gevisser Ltd., Durban. Member, Durban United Hebrew Congregation, Durban Jewish Club, Durban Athletic Club, R.D.L.I. Social Club, Hilton College Old Boys Club. Represented Hilton College at Rugby, Boxing and Athletics. Served with South African Forces in World War II, 1st R.D.L.I., 1939-1945. Saw action in North Africa; captured by German troops at Gazala, 7th June, 1942; three years P.O.W. Italy and Germany.
