GIDISH, Meyer. Director of Companies. Born Krakanova, Lithuania, 18th October, 1913, son of Philip and Sadie Gidish. Director of Delmas Engineering Co. (Pty.) Ltd., and S. & S. Trading Co. (Pty.) Ltd. Vice-President of the Springs and District Progressive Jewish Congregation, 1965/67; Vice-Chairman, Springs Girls' High School 1966; Member of Springs Country Club and Maccabi Association (East Rand). Served with South African Forces as a private in R.L.I. during World War II, 1939/40. Married Jessie May, 10th November, 1946; two sons, one daughter. Recreation: Bowls.
