GINSBURG, Saul. General Dealer. Born Savlan, Lithuania 22nd January, 1905, son of Mendel and Paje Ginsburg. Came to South Africa 19th September, 1921. Treasurer for a few years and Committee Member for many years of the Griqualand West Hebrew Congregation, Kimberley. Chairman for a few years of the M.D.A. Chairman, Hebrew Education Committee, Vice-Chairman for many years of the Ezra Zion Society and was Chairman of Zionist Youth. Committee Member of the Jewish Benevolent Society. Served in World War II with South African Forces in Kimberley Regiment; met with a serious accident 1942, but managed to rejoin the Regiment in Italy 1944, and came back with Regiment 1945. Married Ethel Brenner, 20th October 1946; one step-son, one step-daughter. Add.: 75, Main Road, P.O. Box 15, Beaconsfield.
