Principal, Durban United Hebrew Schools. Part-time lecturer in Hebrew at University of Natal. Previously was Headmaster, Belfast Hebrew School, North Ireland. Cultural Officer, Jewish Education Council, Durban. Member of the Council of Natal Jewry and Zionist Council for Natal. Regular lecturer at People's College and cultural societies. Former Ba-koach of Natal Habonim. During World War II served as Chaplain, with rank of Major, with 6th S.A. Armoured Division in Italy. Married Jayne Chanani, 1939; two sons, two daughters.
