FARBER, Harold. Insurance Official. Born Rybinsk, Russia, 16th March, 1916, son of Abraham Isaac and Gittel Farber. Came to South Africa 1927. Educated at Hope Lodge and Cape Town High School. Committee member, S.A. Society of Insurance Officials, 1946-56. Committee member, United Zionist Revisionist Party of Cape, 1950-60. Secretary of S.A. Hebrew Dividing Benefit Society, 1960-64. Chairman of the Vredehoek Bowling Club, 1959-61; Foundation member, Vredehoek Sports Club, and Secretary, 1950-53. Married Fay Kapelus, 1942; one son, one daughter.
