Educated at Boys' High School, Sea Point, and University of Cape Town. Appointed in 1952 as Assistant Roads and Drainage Engineer, City Engineer's Department, City of Cape Town. Retired in August, 1964. Joined Messrs. Van Niekerk, Kleyn & Edwards, Consulting Engineers. Member of Glen Country Club and Lodge Good Will. Served in the Police Reserve, National Volunteer Brigade and Coast Defence Corps during Second World War. Married Nellie Stella Swirsky, 1932; one daughter. Recreations: Bowls, swimming.
