FELDMAN, Richard. Director of Companies. Born Lithuania 15th September, 1897, son of Joseph and Minnie Feldman. Came to South Africa 1910. Educated at Jewish Government School, Johannesburg. Director of L. Feldman Ltd.; Tobacco and General Supplies Ltd. Executor, Morris Isaacson Educational Fund. Was member of Transvaal Provincial Council for 11 years, and was member of Rand School Board. Founder, S.A. Ort-Oze, Was active for many years in Yiddish cultural activities. Author of "Schwartz und Weis" ("Black and White"), a book of South African stories in Yiddish. Married Freda Ginsberg, 1931; one son, one daughter. Recreation: Writing.
