FURMAN, Milly. Housewife. Born London 20th April, 1902, daughter of Annie and Chaim Dinkon. Came to South Africa 1921. Educated at Doner Street High School, London. Organising Secretary of the Jewish Women's Benevolent Society 1925-36, and started various branches in Johannesburg suburbs. Founded the Women's Section of the S.A. Ort-Oze in 1937 and was its Chairman until 1948. Chairman of the Frieda Sichel Centre, 1957-60. Married Solly Furman, 1923; one son, two daughters.
