CASPER, Samuel Rubin. Company Director. Born Kupiskis, Lithuania, 2nd September, 1921, son of Solomon and Chana Casper. Came to South Africa November, 1927. Educated at Lutheran School, Wynberg. Cape, and Wynberg Boys' High School. Director of Casper Stores (Pty) Ltd., De Doorns. Member of Worcester Hebrew Congregation; Masonic Lodge. Served with South African forces in World War II (Corporal in Corps of Signals), Abyssinia and Italy, 1939-45. Married Esther Fischer, 28th March, 1948; two daughters. Add.: Voortrekkerweg, P.O.
