Treasurer Pretoria Zionist Council; Council member Pretoria Zionist Council, Council member, Pretoria Progressive Jewish Congregation. Member, Old Edwardian Society, Johannesburg; Brooklyn Bowling Club, Pretoria. During World War II served in 1st Rand Light Infantry, later the S.A. Pay Corps. Was Commissioned in October, 1944.
