DANILER, Barney Aron. Railage Tariff Consultant. Born Oudtshoorn, Cape, 25th May, 1899, son of Isaac and Rosy Daniler. Educated at Boys' High School, Oudtshoorn, and Ladismith Public School Joined South African Railways as a clerk in 1920, promoted Station Master 1922-29, returned to clerical division in 1930, rising to Principal Clerk and retiring on pension in 1962, after 42 years' service. During World War II served together with his son in S.A. Forces. Active Service in Egypt, Libya, Tripolitania, Palestine, Lebanon and Italy. Rank: Sergeant. Holds six service medals. Married Gertie Jane Sacks, 1919; one son, two daughters. Add.: Flat 2, Atlanta Court, 56 Muller Street, Yeoville, Johannesburg.
