Came to South Africa 1946. Chairman of Jewish Women's Benevolent and Welfare Society 1963-65. Executive member of Johannesburg Co-ordinating Council of Social Welfare Organisations and Vice-Chairman, Transvaal Jewish Welfare Council; former Chairman, Emmarentia Hebrew Congregation Women's Guild. Member Transvaal Automobile Club, Dale Lace Park Bowling Club. During World War II acted as Administrative Officer, British Cast Concrete Federation, in charge of department which organised the production by more than 100 manufacturers of hutting units for hospitals, P.O.W. camps, etc. Married Dr. Jack Davimes, 1943; two sons.
