DERMAN, Ephraim. Property Dealer. Born Slonim, Poland, in 1905, son of Menahem Mendel and Henia Lea Derman. Educated at Hebrew High School, Russia. Came to South Africa in 1927. Was Chairman of the World Zionist Youth Organisation Branch in Palestine 1925-27. Chairman since 1964 of the Muizenberg Hebrew Congregation; Member, Chevra Tanach. Member of the Muizenberg Bowling Club. Married Jeanette Taub, 1937; two sons. Add.: "Fishnet", Dover Road, Muizenberg.
