Member of various sub-committees of Natal Provincial Institute of Architects. Served on Executive of S.A. Jewish Ex-Service League (Durban Branch) 1950-60. Former Committee member, Circle Country Club. Served with 2nd S.A. Divisional Signals H.Q. in World War II; taken prisoner of war at Tobruk; escaped in Italy in hills for 14 months.
