Educated at Marist Brothers College, Johannesburg, Witwatersrand University and School of Optics, London. Forester (past Chief Ranger, Court "Star"). Member, Brothers Football Club, Old Maristonian Club. Married Millie Lupiloff 27th December, 1931; one daughter. Recreations: Tennis, soccer.
