BARRON, Bernard Jacob. F.S.M.C., F.O.A. (S.A.). Chemist and Optometrist. Born Kimberley, 6th September, 1911, son of Adolph and Lena Barron. Educated at S.A.C.S. and Cape Technical College. Chairman, Pharmaceutical Society (C.W.P. Branch), 1966-67; Executive Member, Optometric Society (C.W.P. Branch), 1964-67; Chairman, Maitland Sports Board of Control, for the last ten years; Treasurer for the last 19 years of the Maitland/Brooklyn Hebrew Congregation; Member, King David Country Club. Served during World War II in Coast Defence, 1939-45. Married Hilda Freedman 4th January, 1942; three daughters. Recreation: Golf Add.: 103 Bella Vista, Queens Road. Sea Point, Cape Town.
