President, Roodepoort-Maraisburg Hebrew Congregation, 1957-59. Member, Linksfield-Senderwood Hebrew Congregation; S.A. Jewish Ex-Service League; Linksfield Ridge Bowling Club. Chairman, S. African Amateur Trampoline Union; national and international Judge of this sport. Married Thelma Ziman 13th July, 1949; one son, one daughter. During World War II served with U.D.F. in infantry unit in North Africa and Italy. Twice wounded. Rank: Major. Recreations: Bowls, walking, fishing, reading, music.
