Sea Products Ltd., United Fish Canners Ltd.; Marine Diamond Corporation Ltd., etc. Member of Parliament since 1945. Mayor of Cape Town, 1945, 1946 and 1947 (during Royal Visit); Leader of Coloured Representatives in Parliament. Member, Executive Committee, Cape Town Hebrew Congregation. Member and supporter of many Jewish organisations. During Second World War was Chairman of Cape Town's Civilian Protective Services Chairman Governor-General's War Fund, Cape Town Branch.
