RABINOVITZ, Zeidel (retired). Born in Bessarabia in 1857. Educated at various Yeshivas. Married in 1878 to Rachael Goldstein; has six children. Came to South Africa in 1901. Always associated in both active and consultative capacity with Jewish institutions: has been engaged during the past 17 years on Hebrew Lexicons: is noted for Hebrew and Talmudical knowledge.
