KOTTLER, Morris, Wholesale Merchant. Born in Kupeshek, Lithuania, in 1872, and educated there. Married in 1899 to Yetta Haller; has five children. Came to South Africa in 1906. Treasurer, Ophirton Hebrew Congregation, 1912-1917, and Vice-Chairman, Came to South Africa in 1906. Treasurer, Ophirton Talmud Torah; Chairman to Ophirton Hebrew Congregation, 1922-1927; at the time of the War, busied himself with the War Victims' Fund; takes interest in all communal affairs, especially in Hebrew Education; at present engaged in building up a Talmud Torah in Parktown.
