KOWARSKY, Noah, Produce and General Merchant. Born in Malat, near Vilna, Russia, in 1871. Educated at Vilna. Married in 1895, and has four children. Came to South Africa in 1896. Served on the following Committees: Board of Deputies, Witwatersrand Hebrew Benevolent Association, Shechita Board, and also served as Delegate on first Committee formed by Lord Milner in 1902 for granting permits to emigrants.
