Came to South Africa in 1892. Married in 1903 to Helen Tagger; has two children. Ex-President Transvaal Chamber of Industries; ex-Vice President, South African Federated Chamber of Industries; Member of the Executive of both the above; one of the Founders of Jewish Working Man's Club; Chairman, Information Bureau of South African Jewish Board of Deputies.
