Director of various subsidiary and associated companies of the Anglovaal Group. Committee member (Chairman 1961 and 1963) of Great Synagogue, Johannesburg; council member, United Hebrew Congregation of Johannesburg. Served during World War II as member of the S.A.A.F. in North Africa, Italy and Coastal Command in South Africa. Member, Old Edwardian Society, Johannesburg; Johannesburg Country Club and S.A.A.F.
