MARCUS, Sam. Tanner. Born Warner Lithuania 13th October, 1896, son of Ber and Chase Marcus. Came to South Africa 1908. Educated at Pretoria and London and holds Diploma from the Leather Sellers' College, London. Director of Tanning Company. Committee member, Stellenbosch Hebrew Congregation. Served in World War I.
