PRISMAN, David. B.A. Died 1963. Attorney, Notary and Conveyancer. Born Lithuania 10th January, 1895, son of Yechiel and Molly Prisman. Came to South Africa 1902. Educated at Normal College and South African College School, Cape Town. Practised as solicitor in his own firm of Prisman & Rubik. Was a Director of Amalgamated Laundries (Pty.) Ltd., Cape Town. Was a member of the Gardens Synagogue for about 40 years. Served with the S.A. Defence Force in World War I and served with the Civilian Protection Service in World War II. Was a member of Oranjezicht Bowling Club. Recreations were reading, bowling, and he was a collector of Africana. Married Freda Hill 1922; one son, two daughters.
