REICHENBERG, Rabbi Izaiah. B.A. Born Guty, Poland, 24th March, 1908, son of Moshe Zalman and Sima Liebe Reichenberg. Educated at Hebrew High School and Yeshivah in Riga, Jews' College, London, University of the Witwatersrand, and Training College for Rabbis in Johannesburg. Came to South Africa in 1929. Rabbi of Northcliff and District Hebrew Congregation. Formerly ministered to Stellenbosch Hebrew Congregation, Klerksdorp Hebrew Congregation and Vereeniging Hebrew Congregation. During World War II was part-time Chaplain to the South African Forces. Married Betty Lily Levin, December, 1930; three sons, one daughter.
