Educated at Yeshiva Etz Chayim, London; Jews' College and University College, London. Came to South Africa, 1927. Minister, Kimberley Hebrew Congregation, 1927 - 1935. Senior Rabbi, Salisbury Hebrew Congregation, Rhodesia (1935-1967). During World War II was Senior Jewish Chaplain to the Rhodesian Forces.
