Communal worker, I.U.A. and U.C.F.; member, Poalei Zion Central Committee; Life member, Jewish Helping Hand, Jewish Benevolent Society, Witwatersrand Jewish Aged Home. During World War II served in 2nd R.D.L.I. and S.A. Pay Corps. Recreations: tennis, bridge, philately. Married Maisie Isakow 15th April, 1943; two sons.
