Committee member of Bernard Patley Hebrew School since its inception; Council member, United Hebrew Schools, Johannesburg; active worker for Israeli United Appeal, United Communal Fund and S.A. Jewish War Appeal. Warden and Committee member, Yeoville Synagogue; Council member of the United Hebrew Congregation. Took an active part in S.A. Board of Jewish Education.
