Chairman of the South African Jewish Ex-Service League, Johannesburg, 1948-49; President, Jewish Guild, 1957-58; Warden, Yeoville Synagogue, 1962-64. Member of Transvaal Automobile Club, Reading Country Club, Jewish Guild. During Second World War served as Signals Officer, 3rd S.A. Reconnaissance Battalion and Wireless Officer, 1st S.A. Division.
