HAINOVITZ, Asher, L.R.S.M. Cantor. Born Jerusalem, Israel, 1939, son of Menachem and Lea Hainovitz. Came to South Africa, 1966. Educated at Yeshivah College and Royal School of Music, London. Cantor of Pretoria United Hebrew Congregation. Formerly Cantor of the Bulawayo Hebrew Congregation, 1962-66. Served in the Israeli Army for 2 years. Member of the Weizmann Club.
