CHAITOWITZ, Hymie. M.B., B.Ch. (Rand). Medical Practitioner. Born Jerusalem, Palestine. 29th September, 1922, son of the Rev. Jacob and Miriam Chaitowitz. Came to South Africa 1930. Educated at the Boksburg High School, University of the Witwatersrand. Member of the Valley-Observatory Hebrew Congregation (former Committee Member); Member National Executive, Magen David Adom, S.A., Member of King David High School P.T.A. Served in World War II with the 25th Field Ambulance, S.A. Medical Corps, 1942-1945. Married Kaye Abramsohn 12th March, 1950; one son, one daughter. Add.: 211 St. George's Road.
