BLUMENTHAL, Armin. Pharmacist and Chemical Engineer. Born Germany 9th March, 1903, son of Rev. Solomon and Emma Ester Blumenthal. Educated at University of Frankfurt-am-Main. Came to South Africa 1936. Served on the Editorial Staff of the "Zentralblatt fuer Pharmazie" and in an honorary advisory capacity on the Board of Editors of Bennet's "Chemical Formulary." Honorary member of the Committee of the S.A. Bureau of Standards for past 20 years, representing the S.A. Chemical Institute. Was Technical Officer to the Witwatersrand Technical College (Department of Chemistry, Pharmacy and Medical Technology) until retirement recently.
