Founder and Past Chairman, Mutual Medical Aid of South Africa: Member, Witwatersrand University Council; State Housing and Slum Board: National Executive Committee of S.A.Ν.Τ.Α. (1956- 1963); Regional Executive Committee, S.A. Red Cross Society; President, Krugersdorp Hebrew Congregation; Member of Medical Panel of the Witwatersrand Jewish Aged Home; Former President of Rotary Club; Member, Houghton Bowling Club and K.E.S. Old Boys Club. Married 13th December, 1925; wife's name Flossie Blanche; one son, one daughter. Served as Lance-Corporal in the S.A. Medical Corps during First World War, and as Lt.-Colonel in the S.A. Medical Corps during Second World War, when he was D.D.M.S. Natal Command. Recreation: Bowls.
